Bodhidharma is known as the founding father of Chinese and Japanese Zen Buddhism. A monk from India, Bodhidharma (or Ta Mo / Daruma as he is known in China and Japan) travelled all the way through China and into Japan. He is credited with bringing Zen Buddhism to China and also regarded as the pioneer of chinese martial arts. All over Asia, there are many colourful stories and legends that surround him.

This Bodhidharma 达摩- Cha Yo (Tea Friend) was made with Purple Clay from Yixing. It is a very unique and beautiful decoration to complement your tea set, or even as a decorative object to be displayed on its own.
